There is a field called Kin-chaku-da in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. It was shaped over a long period of time by the meandering Koma River. Its shape is similar to a small bag called Kin-chaku.
Various flowers bloom here depending on the season. In autumn, about 5 million cluster amaryllis flowers bloom profusely. During the season of the flowers, the Cluster Amaryllis Festival in Kin-chaku-da is held, attracting many people. An admission fee of 500 yen is required during the period. The 2022 festival ends on October 2nd.

I went to see the flowers during the festival in late September 2022. It’s close to central Tokyo. I went to here by the Seibu line. It takes about 40 minutes from Ike-bukuro Station to Han-no Station by taking the Limited Express. I changed to the local train from Han-no Station. The nearest station is Koma Station which is the second.

As an aside, I used to have to go through the ticket gate to get to the Seibu line limited express platform, but that was gone. When I used it a few years ago, there was an automatic ticket gate, and it sometimes got a little crowded there.
With the elimination of ticket gates, those problems have disappeared, and people can move around more smoothly, making it easier to use than before.
